Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of central Kentucky as we take you through the rolling countryside to visit world famous Three Chimneys Farm’s stallion complex. Take a walking tour at Three Chimneys and see the statue in honor of Seattle Slew who stood at stud at the farm for many years. Visit the breeding shed and learn about the breeding process. Tour the stallion barns and see these amazing champions up close. Complete your experience with a stop at the Three Chimneys Visitor Center. Next enjoy additional professional guided narration as you journey to historic Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. Shaker Village is the site of America’s largest restored Shaker community. Tour the village and see craft demonstrations, a Shaker music performance, and enjoy traditional Kentucky fare in the Trustees Dining Room for lunch.

THREE CHIMNEYS STALLION TOUR DURING WEG & IEF

Enjoy a comfortable ride on a deluxe coach to tour world-famous Three Chimneys Farm’s stallion complex. Professional guided narration of the Bluegrass and the Thoroughbred industry will be given to and from the farm. Take a walking tour at Three Chimneys and see the statue in honor of Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew who stood at stud at the farm for many years. Visit the breeding shed and learn about the breeding process. Tour the stallion barns and see these amazing champions up close. Complete your experience with a stop at the Three Chimneys Visitor Center. Come enjoy a beautiful Thoroughbred farm that has been home to famous stallions such as Smarty Jones, Point Given, and Dynaformer. WEEKEND AFTERNOON DAILY TOUR DURING WEG
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
$45 Adults, $43 age 55/over or AAA, $30 age 12/under
Blue Grass Tours will be offering some special stops on our daily tours during WEG. During our weekend afternoon tours (9/25, 9/26, 10/2, 10/3, 10/9 & 10/10), we will have a wonderful 3 hour tour of the area that includes a visit to Adena Springs farm in Paris, Kentucky, known for its passion for the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industries. The stallion roster at Adena Springs includes winners of both the Kentucky Derby and the Epsom Derby. Our next stop will be Denali Stud, an industry standard-bearer that has been a leading consignor every year this decade grossing over $250,000,000 in sales since 2000. Tour the broodmare division with distinguished boarders including champion 3-year old filly Serena’s Song. Along the way we will see many other signature farms and hear entertaining narration from our professional guides.
